Fold rollers are critical to print finishing. Keep production running smoothly with Update Ltd’s roller recovery and regrind services. We use precision machining and high-quality urethane, matched to OEM characteristics, to deliver value and longevity.

How our repair process works

  1. Inspection & qualification. We evaluate incoming rollers to confirm they’re candidates for recovery. Excessive journal or knurl wear may disqualify.
  2. Strip & clean. Rollers are stripped and prepared for urethane application.
  3. Urethane application (our differentiator). Instead of dipping the entire roller, we cut urethane into bands and apply them by hand, maintaining original groove-width specs for a more precise finish.
  4. Precision grind to spec. Rollers are ground to the tolerances of a new roller.
  5. New bearings installed. We replace bearings and verify fit.
  6. Final inspection. Each roller is checked for finish, groove integrity, and dimensional accuracy.

We do not offer an exchange program—the exact rollers you send in are the ones you’ll receive back, restored. We take the time needed for quality, while prioritizing timely completion to minimize downtime.

Pro tip: Excessive wear can render a roller unrecoverable. Send damaged rollers as soon as possible to maximize the chance of successful recovery.
